Meet Our WDEV Staff Members
Donovan, Jack - Program Director

In November 2010, Jack became the newest inductee into the VT Association of Broadcasters "Hall of Fame." But it all began at a small 1,000 watt radio station in Plymouth, MA 40+ years ago! Following graduation from Graham Junior College in Boston (and a four-year enlistment in the US Navy), Jack's radio career brought him north - to Hanover, NH then Montpelier. Since 1972 - when hired by the legendary Rusty Parker - Jack has hosted the afternoon show on WDEV: one of the longest continuous running PM drive programs in the nation. We kid Jack about his "box of records" - but over the years Jack has made a huge contribution to Vermont musicians, hosting "Vermont Live" featuring the talents of established and up-and-coming local talent. Jack continues to highlight the local music scene with his daily WDEV Arts Calendar at 3:15pm. Known for his vast musical knowledge and his silky-smooth delivery, Jack's congenial demeanor only changes when he shares the microphone with longtime nemesis Ken Squier for the sports at 5:15pm and after the Dump show Saturday mornings. Plus those special moments with Kia Commo during the Party Calendar, weekdays at 3:40PM.

Fuller, Jeff - Sunday Night Announcer

Jeff started listening to basketball games on WDEV when shooting hoops as a kid in the family garage. Born in South Korea but raised in Waterbury Center, Jeff played soccer for Trinity Baptist School in Williston. Jeff hosts SCORE - The Sunday Night Special Edition with sports news, scores interviews and more.

Hill, Roger - Weather Forecaster

With over 30 years experience in the field of meteorology and climatology, Roger has done stints around the country with the National Weather Service starting with the US Army. Past clients for site specific forecasting have included such diverse groups as the Woodstock 2 concert, and the Grateful Dead in the 90s, to the Mozart Festival and the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, as well as General Electric, the stateís Utilities, and the Agency of Transportation. Roger operates a consulting business called Weathering Heights and also forecasts for Best Ski Weather, for skiers and their favorite resorts across North America. Additionally you can read Rogerís weekly forecast in the Stowe Reporter and check out his web site Weatheringheights.com. Roger broadcasts and forecasts can be heard weekdays on the stations of Radio Vermont (link to Roger's site by going to the WDEV Home page in the weather block)

Johnson, Mark - Talk Show Host

A respected journalist who covered crime and politics for the Burlington Free Press, Mark brought his talents to the airwaves in 1990 at WKDR in Burlington. His program was added to the WDEV schedule in 1999 and he has held the 9-11am segment ever since. Recognized as one of the most important newsmaker programs on radio, Mark's interviewing style allows for frank and open discussion of even the most explosive issues. During the VT Legislative session, Mark takes his program to the statehouse in Montpelier - providing Vermonters with direct access to the lawmakers and lobbyist in the halls of the people's house. Mark is a regular panelist on Vermont ETV. Though he focuses primarily on state topics, Mark is equally comfortable interviewing guests as diverse as Noam Chomsky and Col. Oliver North.
